Access Simulation Services at Area X.O
Area X.O is a technology-rich, secure research and development complex created for all-weather testing and commercialization. With one of the most advanced communications infrastructures in the world, smart mobility testing capabilities are almost limitless.
The Area X.O Simulation Capabilities help founders and companies develop, test, commercialize and drive the global market adoption of smart mobility, autonomy and connectivity technologies in priority sectors including Cleantech, Defence, Public Safety and Security; Drones and Advanced Robotics. Area X.O can support project activites in optical systems, electromagnetics, mission systems simulation and ground vehicle autonomy (SPEOS, EDT, STK and AVx).
Area X.O has partnered with MathWorks to complement and further enhance our simulation offerings. MATLAB, the language of engineers and scientists, is a programming environment for algorithm development, data analysis, visualization, and numeric computation. Simulink is a block diagram environment for simulation and Model-Based Design of multidomain and embedded engineering systems. Engineers and scientists worldwide rely on these product families to accelerate the pace of discovery, innovation, and development in automotive, aerospace, electronics, renewable energy, financial services, biotech, and other industries. Our clients can fill out our intake form to apply for a free license to access MathWorks computing software.
Thanks to our partnership with Ansys, our clients now have access to curated simulation content from Ansys.
Simulation at Area X.O
Invest WindsorEssex (IWE) and Invest Ottawa (IO) are recipients of the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN) funding through the Ontario Centre of Innovation. As Regional Technology Development Sites, IWE and IO share the mutual objectives of supporting Ontario SMEs with products, processes, services, and applications in electric vehicles, connected vehicles, autonomous vehicles, and smart mobility with the development, prototyping, testing, and validation of new products and technologies, to reduce barriers to innovation, and to assist in technology commercialization.
The Virtual Simulation Platform utilizes the baseline Digital Twin that was initially created by IWE, and has been modified with the addition of new digital assets and data. Through this continued collaboration, IWE and IO will help support and deliver simulations to those who utilize the AVX Ansys software and Area X.O Digital Twin.
